A Map Of Becoming
A Map Of Becoming
A Map of Becoming feels like a landscape of change - soft, imperfect, and constantly moving.
The painting is made up of pale washes, blurred colour, and delicate metallic lines that feel almost like veins, borders, or little pathways forming across the surface. It has this quiet tension between softness and structure: the gentle, cloudy layers underneath, and then the sharper copper lines cutting through, almost marking where something has shifted.
To me, it feels like the in-between stage of becoming yourself - not fully formed, not perfectly clear, but beautiful because of that. Like growth while it’s still messy. Like looking back and realising every strange turn, every break, every softening, was part of the map.
It is about transformation, but in a very human way - not polished or linear, just layered, emotional, and alive.
